Living Factory is an XR experience that explores the future of human-machine labour in factories. Audiences are invited to visit the Living Factory as prospective employees and experience a factory of the future where robots and AI come together to build more sustainable spaces and scenarios to coexist with humans.
Led by AI assistant BLOOM, the tour takes visitors through an imagined factory where AI and robots are implementing nature-based principles or biomimicry to design spaces that increase worker well-being and work satisfaction.
The work aims to open a discussion about the future of factory workers’ jobs in the wake of smart factories and automation, starting from redirecting funding towards worker reskilling for future jobs and the need to create spaces that tend to workers’ well-being.
Created with EU funding, as part of the Better Factory S+T+ARTS project
